It is really difficult to /force/ something out of one's mind, but time is a healer . There is this technique of, what I call, passive observation, which I learnt while I was doing a kind of meditation . It is kind of long so I am not posting about it right now . But, tell me if you need more info.

memories stay, unles su have severe memory loss, but how you reactto them or how they affect you is entirely in your control. the focus should be less on banishing memories but on controlling how you get affected by them.

Fraudz' advice is excellent. There is no way to get rid of memories, Seeker, it's all in how you deal with them.

Well I used to try and run away from bad memoies or pretend liek they never happened..on one occassion I had even blocked out teh incident and remembered it a couple of years later....

I think it's best to remember them and deal with it...knowing that what has happened cannot be undone and that no matter how bad a situation there is always something you learn from it.

Recently I dealt with something painful not by surpressing my thoughts but my remembering it...and although it hurt I remembered all teh good times before the pain and thank God that for atleast a while I was THAT happy!

the more u will try to hide from them the more u ignite them and the more they haunt u. the best thing to do is to leave them in one side and dont keep thinking bout them that very often, they wont dissapear but the haunting effect will definately lighten up u wont get much bothered by them in the future. but will take time.... azma shuda hal

bang ur head very hard on the wall 7 times and u'll lose ur memory....
be sure to write down the good ones so u can recall them later
Both Halal & Haram r evident but between them r doubtful things, most ppl have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from suspicious things saves his religion & honor, & whoever indulges in suspicious things indulges in Haram.
