Is Gidha, the Punjabi women's folk dance still alive in Pakistan? After Apache Indian's Arranged Marraige the whole world knows the Bhangra dance and of course the music. What about our sisters' and mothers' boliaN and Gidha acts?

of course I don't know if they still have the folk dance in Pakistan, but I was just requesting the origin or signifigance of the dance, just curious if anyone knows... -
yup -i was in pakistan 4 a cuz wedding -and man did i enjoy the giddha,its well and alive in multan.in singapore too-the punjabis still do practised it but not on a large scale...so i guess that answers your quesComment
