The Art of 'Checking Out'

So, I was thinking that most guys have probably mastered this art of 'checking out', where you cast discreet, sideways glances or pretend you're looking elsewhere when wanting to have a closer look at a member of the opposite sex. But some people just can't be discreet and maybe they want to make it obvious by really oogling and making the person being checked out, feel really uncomfortable. Or on the other hand, while checking out, one may make eye contact and smile a little. But a lot of the time I feel that you can't really 'check out' 'til your heart's content for obvious reasons of inappropriacy.
Oh and another thing, sometimes when you think you're being discreet and someone catches you looking at them, do you quickly look away or hold the gaze??? Just wondering!

Thanks Puther and X-Commi! I went to sunny Durban for 3 weeks. There was a lot happening there - surfing n beach festival. The city is full of Muslims. Had so much yummy food and met some interesting people.

Now I'm back in the freezing igloo and uni starts tomorrow!!

I believe in this theory and wanted to start this thread as I think that a guy can "check out" the girl in just one nazar. I don't know coz my cousin doesn't agree with me on this theory so I would like to know other people's point of view.

secondly i agree with khan sahib. To check someone out only takes a couple of sec's
if that person finds out, dont turn away straight away but chill with the still and then turn away.

Doable, completely!
But what is a time limit of a nazar???

It just gets on my nerves when kids do it.

An example was at city-disc - music shop, where these two ok girls walk in and this guy sees them pivots on his heels checks them out for like 3 minutes.
Of course they realize and ask him if he likes what he sees.
The guy turns red and the whole place cracks up laughing.
Pathetic!
