Why England Is The Greatest Country In The World To Live!

I am a proud Pakistani but I have to say that no country is as good to live in as England for the people as a whole, all classes considered ...

Consider:

1. We have one of the best healthcare systems still and it is totally FREE at the point of use. (OK some Scandinavian countries have better but ours is still good)

2. Politically England is still one of the main players (in the 5 of the Security Council etc.)

3. Economically in the top 6 in the world. And London is still the world's financial capital with 2x the foreign exchange as the US going thru' it!

4.Socially we have an excellent balance between being a welfare state and being a free capitalist country.

5. Very low crime compared to most developed countries e.g.

6. Good education system. Undergraduate education is still the best and schools are good too though they are starting to go down..

7. A VERY multi-cultural, pluralistic, tolerant society . Much more than the rest of Europe and the USA, Japan etc.

8. The best press in the world

9. The best TV in the world overall.



Therefore I think if you are fair you have to agree with me. Yes if you are RICH or WELL OFF then USA is the best but for the average person the UK rocks!

No ways, South Africa is the best country to live in! I wouldn't want to live in England - ever! The weather sux, people are racist, it's expensive and you have to live in cramped houses! I wouldn't swop the sunshine and space for anything! I have friends from SA who are now living in England and they miss this place like mad! Over here, you can't be racist and sure there's poverty but even if you're a middle-income earner, you are assured of living in pure luxury!! Maids, drivers, gardeners, good education and lots to do!

I mean, I wouldn't mind going to England for a week to shop until my heart's content on Oxford Street.

Sorry, I think I'm just as 'patriotic' as you are!

i totally disagree wid the best health system, for an appoitment one has to wait 2/3 months unless u r lucky! n then the due to delay in emergency service responses, so may ppl die cos of heart disease even before treatment.

the weather, rains nearly 12 months, hardly eva the sun shines.

although its a multicultural society we still have loads of racism. look at oldham.

cramped squashed houses, not much room.

there r better places then england to live in. england deffinately aint one of 'em!

Yeah right. When I was 11 I was rushed to a hospital here in London and was screaming in pain for 5 hours before they finally pumped me full of drugs to knock me out.

Some healthcare service.... the sooner it gets privatised the better.

That's the reason why you can't be racist here - it's just not tolerated, you may be a racist on the inside but it's so not politically correct! So far, I have never experienced discrimination.

England is called as " SICK MAN OF EUROPE ".
A place where Asians are being treated like,.....Christians in Pakistan ( Like doing un-thinkable Jobs).
I had a stop over in London while going to Pakistan on vacations, As I was waiting for next British Airways Connectiion flight for Pakistan at Heathrow Airport, I met One Pakistani who was cleaning toilets. And was saying, oh my son is a doctor and my daughter is a Professor in One university there, I am just here to spend my time...It really made me laugh,...and I saw the treatment he was getting from White people there.....
UK was a good country at one time,.......long time ago,...but not any more,...USA treat this country as rubber,..whenever it wants,...Kingdom is gone,..but still behaving like kings,......

I also have one Doctor who was British citizen ( But Pakistani origin),... moved to USA,.....His views were not very helpful either...UK is a third world country in the heart of Europe....While Germany,..France and other countries are moving ahead faster than any other country there.

and i dont think its really a good place for Muslims to live. you seen what the young muslims get up to over here? its a sad state of affairs

Muslima84, Thanx for sharing your thoughts,...I agree with you about Living as Muslims....Living among non-believers and still following our religion makes us really like saints,.....Because,..living among muslims,...there is easy way to follow Islam,..But living here in UK ansd USA,..I respect and commend those who follow Islam and try to be true Muslims.
But keep onething on Mind,...no one kicked us out from our country,..we have chosen our destiny.There are many factors why people migrate from one country to another,.....out of which one is "ECONOMICS".
We must not wear religious glasses all the time to judge every country, On the day of Judgement,...we will be responsible for our actions and deed here.Therefore,...Muslims wherever they live, must follow their own religion. Its not country which pushes them here and there,...actually they are the one who throw themselves on the mercy of other Non-Muslims.

England is a great place for vacationing. I love spending time in Central London; the architecture is just marvellous. Although, I could never imagine living in London cuz it's too congested. The houses are the too small and the roads within the city are narrow.
