What a load of rubbish !!!!
I've had gay friends - both male and female - come to me in tears cuz they wish they were 'normal'. Trust me, they'd jump at the chance of being classed as straight.
When will people stop trying to 'fix' the minds of homosexuals. Does it really matter if they prefer one sex over another???
As George Michael once said, 'it's not about who turns you on - it's about who turns you on *and* who you can love'. If gay people can't love people of the opposite sex, should we classify them as abnormal ????
So what about people who only love people of a certain colour, are they abnormal too ????
I know that Islamically speaking, I'm talking like a total and utter kafir, but it just get's me so

It's no surprise to me. I have been saying all along that people often become gay through misguidance of the squawking gay lobby and their propaganda. Think about it; during the punk era young people managed to convince themselves that a safety pin poked through the nose was a good idea, so it is clear that minds can be manipulated in all sorts of weird directions.
So just as some confused types might become gay because it is considered 'ok' or 'hip', then it stands to reason that they can just as easily be convinced that it is not 'ok' or perverted.
Which isn't to say that there aren't some people who are naturally inclined towards homosexuality - although it would be difficult to prove.

Sadi Sobi!
Damn man you admit to having Gay friends!!! And you allow them to cry on your shoulder??? ANd they are crying because of what? The fact they are gay?? Well you can easily change that by not looking at people of the same sex as 'partners'!
And yes they are 'ABNORMAL'! How can you say they are not???
And does it make you feel good to be friends with such people!?? How can it make you feel so good man try and explain that to me!
Errrrrrrrrr man you make me sick!
YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK!!!

Vicky,
for once, why don't you quit hopping up and down and yelping like a little puppy with distemper. If you have something to say on this topic then go ahead, otherwise whether Sobi wants to act as an agony aunt to gays, transvestites or medieval recreationists is none of your business. So go yuck yuck yuck somewhere else.

Hang on Xtremes, so let me get this straight.
U think that homosexuality is just an 'in' thing, and that people *choose* to suffer non stop abuse from their so called family and friends cuz they want to fit into the gay crowd ???? So they *choose* to be judged and physically abused cuz of their feelings towards their partners ???
So what about history. Homosexuality dates back thousands of years - was it the 'in thing' then aswell ????
OK, put history to one side - let's talk about culture. Homosexuality is a dominant form of mating in some African tribal groups. Here, it is an accepted form of mating - so tell me, are these people still being attracted by the danger of homosexuality ????
OK, put culture to one side - let's talk about religion. Homosexuality is strictly forbidden in most (all???) religions yet i'm forever hearing stories about religious scholars - be they Muslim, Christian, Jewish or Hindus - committing suicide cuz they can't cope with their emotional yearning for homosexual interactions.
I could write on forever and ever but I think u've got the jist.
So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief:

Vicky, and ur point being ????
Yeh i got plenty of gay friends. Infact one of my best mate is a lezzy. On the same note, i've got plenty of Black, White, and Asian mates and i love them all with a passion.
U see, I don't judge my friends by their appearance or their sexual orientation - i judge them for who they are rather than what they are.
U should try it some day

I meant that with regards to both gay and lesbian people. Personally I think it's disgusting, but I'm not about to judge a person the basis of who they prefer to sleep with.
On friday I was going home on the tube. I was going towards Heathrow, and those of you who know London, know that the Piccadilly LIne trains going that way are always full of tourists going to Heathrow.
Anyway, it was about 6.30 and I got on the train and sat down on the first seat I saw. Once sitting comfortably, I looked up and saw two guys, around 23-26 years old sitting next to eachother. They were kinda facing eachother and holding hands. My journey usually takes about 50 mins and for those 50 mins I had to watch those guys, holding hands, kissing (with tongue) and carressing eachothers faces. It took a lot of self control to stop myself from laughing, and in the end I took my phone out and started playing snake, which is something I haven't done in a while.
I'm not ready to see two men or women all over eachother, it's bad enough watching a straight couple do that in public.
Ok,I've said my bit. Let me just sit back and wait for Sadi Sobi to call me homophobic.........

My point is that once it's socially acceptable to be a deviate then it becomes a lot easier. If it was legal to throw bricks through shop windows and pich hi-fis I'm sure there would be plenty of takers.
>>So what about history. Homosexuality dates back thousands of years - was it the 'in thing' then aswell ????
So does rape and murder. Does that make it ok?

I've never heard of these African tribes but let's take your word for it. Cannibalism is also part of the culture of some African tribes, so culture isn't really something we can use to make a judgement here.

Sobi, I think you've been reading too many magazines. Simply put, any religious scholars that have emotional yearnings to wear leather pants and pink vests should get a job DJ'ing in a gay bar or as a hairdresser. This is just more evidence of the confusion which can be caused by political correctness.
I see you mentioned George Michael in one of your earlier posts. As the famous crooner said: "'it's not about who turns you on - it's about who turns you on *and* who you can love'"
This guy sure falls in love quick. I take it he was flashing some stranger in a public lavatory because he was in love then?

Farhana,
No i'm not going to lecture you on anything. Why were you expecting a lecture - cuz u knew u were in the wrong by any chance ???
Most importantly - u must have been looking pretty darn close to have relaised that the kissing was 'tongues and all'

Just as a person who has a sexual urge should not satisfy it by committing zina, a person who has this thought should not act upon it.
People who commit acts of fornication, promiscuously are put in the same category as those who are homosexual within Islam, so should we condone them too?
I mean they cant help it either right, some people sexually obssessed, so does that make it ok for them to do it?
Anyway, I dont want this to turn into an Islamic debate.
Back to the study:
Dr Spitzer conducted 45-minute telephone interviews with 200 people, 143 of them men, who claimed they had changed their sexual orientation from gay to heterosexual.
They answered about 60 questions about their sexual feeling and behaviour before and after their efforts to change.
Most said they had used more than one strategy to help them change.
About half said the most helpful method was to work with a mental health professional, mostly commonly a psychologist. Others used books, or mentoring by a heterosexual.
Dr Spitzer concluded that 66% of the men and 44% of the women had arrived at what he describes as "good heterosexual functioning"
For those who read it, no where does it exclude women, it just had a higher percentage of males than it did females.
But then again, if it was this easy, as Sadi Sobi says, wouldn`t gays jump at the chance of being 'converted'??
The study is also quite biased as:
the participants appeared unusually skewed toward religious conservatives and people treated by therapists "with a strong anti-gay bias."
I am not very convinced.

Sadi, I was sitting opposite them, and if you have ever been on a london tube, you'll know the distance I'm talking about.
No, I don't believe I'm wrong.
I believe in certain things, and one of those is that homosexuality is disgusting.
I also believe that you're an immature and self-righteous girl who thinks she knows everything there is to know about anything and everything and also believes she's always right and will do anything for an argument.
Am I correct? Yes I think so.
