    Sheesha (Arabic Hukka)

i luv it...it's not as harsh as is smoke from a cigarette, and the flavour leaves a pleasant taste in the mouth...it doesn't leave the "smoking" smell as well, and again, depending on the flavour, could be nice (but never a bad smell)...

plus, i've heard it's not as bad as cigarettes...it is naturally filtered first of all, and there is less smoke and more steam that u inhale (and yes, i do know smoking is bad for ur health)...

how many ppl here have tried it?? and if u have, what flavour(s) did u try, and what'd u think of it??

          Sheesha (or Huqqah),

Edgeware Road. Falasteenee call it "Argeelee". Its brilliant and it depends what flavour u want .... tobacco is available in unlimited brands and flavours. I stopped smoking at all ... so no more sheesha. But I smoked alot .... still remember .... a party ... it was a mujrah in a restaurant in Edgeware Road ... a sheesha & Murah party ... few years ago.

yeah its much better than smoking...

back in Bahrain there was this restorount at a sea side kornish, me and my friends used to sit there on a table with the splendid view of the waves rushing against the rocks right infront of us and smoke sheesha with Roasted chicken, boy THOSE were the days

I had a go on Edgeware Rd as well, and I agree it's not like smoking at all. Very sweet tasting and mild compared to desi hookahs.

I can't remember what flavour it was, but if you get a nice days and a few pals it's not a bad way to kill some time.

BTW, the tables are set outside on Edgeware Rd so you get to see the day go by (or night in my case; it was Millenium night)

Edgeware Road is THE place in london to do Hukka.
I tried it once at a Lebanese restauraunt after a meal with some friends, and it was, well, quite interesting, although it didn't turn me into an addict (I've never done it since). The reason is quite diffierent though-
One of my friends was enjoying it far too much- making smoke come out of his nose and ears. As a consequence he then proceeded to puke up the whole contents of the expensive meal in my Benz on the way back home. Worse thing is I didn't clean it up for a week! What those passengers didn't know couldn't have hurt them......

CoolDude: feel free to comment...no one's stoppin ya

Kohal: what flavour did u try?? and it is verrrry relaxing and soothing...alwayz sleep well after having it

Umer: that's great man...it is a bad habit...don't get into it

Najim and Xtreme: so this place is in the U.K., eh?? and it is a good way to kill time...that is when u have the time and the thing is, that different ppl make it differently, i.e. a lebanese place would make it the lebanese way, a turkish would be slightly different, as would a saudi...i've tried different ones, and i liked the lebanese one the most.

Mp yaara: another fellow member from the gulf!! ever try 2le apple?? with lemon in the water?? (yes, the pure saudi way) couldn't get any better than that

Begsy: haven't tried strawberry yet, but it's on my list...personally, as i mentioned b4, i like 2le apple

TripleA: i don't know of anyone who's addicted to it (though i'm sure there are ppl out there)...i go for one every few months, when i have the time...just relax with friends, play cards all nite long, and have sheesha...that's the way to do it

i've tried the "strongest" flavour for sheesha as well, and it is peach flavoured...it is quiet strong compared to the other ones...

anyone here who has tried the desi hukka?? comparision??
