Using demeaning terms and making dasparaging comments in form of locker-room jokes n humor for women in general is quite common among desi men. And the worst thing is that while they do this,they don't even realize that its wrong.... and if some womam mention that out to them they'll make fun of her by calling her uptight feminist and blah blah...

One thing i wanna clear is that that i am not generalizing all desi men here (i haven't used the term "all")....and one more thing is that i am not talking about "hot-blooded" Jawaans...if u know wot i mean ;-)...i am talking about mature decent(yea right) highly educated and civilized guys....

I was talking about this to a male friend and was telling him that how annoying it is to hear such remarks from these kinda ppl(ppl whom u really admire...) and he said, "Naik, all guys r like that...no matter how civilized or educated they r..."


Well i don't accept that. I know some really nice guys who do know the difference between humor and sexist remarks...and then i know some bhungees who turn in to really civilized ppl when it comes to such issues...

kher wot i want to ask u guys is that, guys when u make such remarks
do u know wot u r doing? do u do it intentionally??

and if yes do u have a problem wid us women calling u "Sexist Pigs"??

ps. and the women who sit next to those guys and do "khe khe khe" on their fazool humor and belittle their own species...all i have to say to u is....EWWWWWWWWWWW YUK!!!

I need an example of sexism before I can pass judgement on this issue. I put a sexist joke here once which went like this:

Q; Why do women have small feet?
A:so they can stand closer to the oven

I have to say, that I don't find the above joke funny at all, and I agree, whoever thought of it must be a sexist pig.

Bajji, your friend seems to know what he is talking about, all guys are like that, some might seem like they are very mature and decent, but with guys they are different, i understand it now, i don't accept it, but i try to respect, cause some just can't help themselves....i've stopped fighting with them, bajji we should try not to get offended, which believe me is easier to say then do...

By the way, bajji we girls(well, i don't know about you) we aren't any better, we talk in the locker room, or just anywhere, when a couple of girls get together...and most of the time the topic ends up being about guyshttp://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/hehe.gif ok before any females starts a cat fight with me, i'm not talking about all the girls i guess the older you get the more mature, but i'm still a kid soooo.......and with the guys, i guess it's true what my mommy says, guys never grow up, no matter how old they get they are always kids.
