why is called KHAWATEEN not khawado or chaar or...???

but as they are two or more they become "khawateen",
question is how come they are ...teen, not khawa_do(if they are are 2) or khawa_chaar(4) , ... so on

ATA do you really think that the "teen" in khawateen is from "three"? Well if you do, then thats not true. The "een" comes from the standard grammar in urdu used for "two or more", while the "t" comes from "kha t oon".
