ode to the chat room buddies

    ~~FRIENDS WITHOUT FACES~~

We sit and we type, and we stare at our screens
We all have to wonder, what this possibly means.

With our mouse we roam, through the rooms in a maze
Looking for something or someone, as we sit in a daze.

We chat with each other, we type all our woes
Small groups we do form, and gang up on our foes.

We wait for somebody, to type out our name
We want recognition, but it is always the same.

We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes flirt
In Palace we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt.

We do form friendships - but - why we don't know
But some of these friendships, will flourish and grow.

Why is it on screen, we can be so bold
Telling our secrets, that have never been told.

Why is it we share, the thoughts in our mind
With those we can't see, as though we were blind.

The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell.
We all have our problems, and need someone to tell.

We can't tell real people, but tell someone we must
So we turn to the 'puter, and to those we can trust.

Even though it is crazy, the truth still remains
They are Friends Without Faces, and odd little names

    --------

dedicated to all gupshup chatters i've met.
    Simple ain't easy.

Queer, though I haven't talked to u much in the chat room, still it is a very nice poem. Simple words yet I think it describes the aura in the chat room real well http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/ok.gif Thanks for sharing.

Great Job Queer...! Yeah the irony lies right there...when in real life, ppl aren't the way they act on screen. *sigh*
HOwever, its a good start, to have ppl gather the courage (I guess) to share and vent out their true feelings and frustrations. I guess for some of them, its a great place to be at when they feel a need to whine all over.
As far as I am concerned.. *tehee* Ask Girl, and she'll say db is the way she is on screen and live J.k. So don't know what kind of impressions I make here. However, its just feels though... that here on screen we're more closer to reality instead in terms of knowing the real us. I mean the person that lies deep within us, gets a visible form and is far more vibrant in our written words. Hm... but ofcourse there are other ppl who just like to pretend and play or make up characters for the sake of fun. Which is all good, or fun to do as long as its within the certain decency and da limits!

                    Adios!
                    DB
