        ^ Excuse me! I ain't no bro - I'm a sista =)

deflation? I don't see it here in NJ, USA. =*(

The prices that seems reasonable - are homes in the ghetto neighborhood where your life is at risk every minute.

The ones I like start from $800,000 and above. What to do?

Buy it right now if you can afford to and if your household income is recession proof.
A latest article about NJ housing market conditions. Seems like it is not so bad in your area.

            nice article!

I would, but I just feel like they are all overly priced. They are all made of crappy stuff. I would not feel 100% satisfied living there - knowing how much I had bought it for!

oh well will have to wait for the right opportunity!

i guess i called u bro, didn swear at ya, "sista"

and this is right opportunity, if u dont buy it now, u wont be able to buy it later.

the house u think is overly priced at $800,00 used to be around $120,000 when the economy was fine. and its gona back there and believe me it is "under priced"

For your area I think it is not a bad idea to wait for the right moment and keep looking for that dream house.

Sheyn: Be careful about what you say girl, you dont want to offend any "person of color" or otherwise! lol there is such a hype about racism that people, esp white people, are scared to say the word 'black'. So now I believe one should be careful in saying 'white', we could call it 'pigmentally challenged' perhaps? and not-so-white house

As for the housing market, its taking a dip. But unfortunately you still wont be in a position to buy a house coz you wouldnt want to get a mortgage on it, and if you are willing to go ahead, you wont find someone who is willing to offer a mortgage on it. Rent market is going up, property prices are going down. Rent market will take a correction in the coming days. And housing market will start to recover once the global economies come back out of the toilet.
