For me happiness lies in little things,like when i can make someone smile or i can help anyone who needs my help,or giving someone my shoulder to cry on,or sharing with someone which thay could not share with anyone else...........it gives a special kind of satisfaction to my heart.

MY biggest happiness ever was when i could do anything for the service of my Allah and my parents!! they were the feelings which could not be replaced by anything else.

But the fact is,its really difficult to remain HAPPY.......

I agree with kashish that happiness lies in small things we usually ignore. We wait all our life ignoring small pleasures of life, for that big happiness ruining our happiness all the way.

Happiness to me is when you are devoted a good cause,and are able to make a difference in someone's life who otherwise would have been lost. Happiness is ultimately a good sense of self-being which is only obtained by positive thoughts and actions.

Happiness is a very special kind of feeling that comes very seldom in a person’s life.

In my case, I can count on my fingers the moments of real happiness that I have encountered in my life. So, for me its is a very precious gift from Allah. Although, I am not complaining, may be its the way Allah Has written my fate. However, what I do to compensate is, I feel happy for those close to me, my family and my friends, and consider it my own happiness. In this way I never fall short of this special feeling.

Mini, I know exactly what you mean. I used feel the same.

I know how it feels when your extremely depressed when you don't give a damn to the world and try to be happy yourself..but still you just can't, when you miss childhood days and wish you'd never grown up.

But, I have finally found the secret behind happiness:

I was born a Muslim, but just recently I accepted Islam by my own will. I started following it as I was supposed to and God bestowed me with extreme mercy and gifts, and finally I overcame all fears, all depression and started loving Allah. Ever since then I have found such a happiness that was never before, its like when you feel so light, you have no more worries, you suddenly get true and long lasting friends, and best of all you have the best 'friend', you have Allah by your side.

I also have started healthy habits and not only do I feel better I look better too. Best of all, I have found my place in the world, I know what I was meant for and it makes me feel happy.

Simply saying Islam = Happiness!

Believe me Allah loves us and we love him. However if we get betrayed by satan and do not follow him, automatically our insides will feel sad and guilty.

Happiness also comes from friends and family and now that I deal with everyone better just like Islam has taught me, I get more respect and admiration, thus I feel happy.
