how would you rate yourself?

How would you rate yourself on a 1-5 scale, in making friends with people of other cultures and religions?

1)totally against it
2)wouldn't attempt to myself, but if they
offer a friendly hand first,i wouldn't
mind
3)never tried too
4)very comfortable with it as long they
respect my culture and religion, but
i wouldn't rank them as high as my desi
friends.
5)easily make friends from other cultures
and dont differentiate them from my desi
friends.

I would rate myself a 4, because first objective to me is they must have respect for my religion/culture, and the underlying fact being (wheter you agree or not) that when the going gets tough, its your own that usually save the day, and believe me im basing this strictly on my experiences.

i would say 5......my best friends are not desis.....we never talk bout our religions, but love each others cultures....actually kaka malang......i usually get hurt by my desi friends.....thought it would be the other way around.....but there's this friend of mine ( chinese) and she has always been there for me.....i guess it all comes down to childhood friendships lasting and meaning more than friendships made later on.....just depends on who u see a friend in first( i think i'm getting off track here).....so yeah....i'm number 5

I would b 4 bcz I do have friends from other cultures and religions but they can never b more more dear to me than some of my desi friends who r more dear to me than myself...realy I have friends I would do anything for bcz I know who's gona comeup to me and help me when I am in truble...

just as an example once I had a Flat on a highway and I did not have my spare on me so I called my American friend who lived close by but he couldnt come bcz he was bz on the other line with his GF.....
on the other hand my friend left from his Job to come help me....

by this I dont mean that friends from other religions r all like this its just that u cant trust them or may be I just had some bad experiences....

I dont know.......I think it all depends on where you are coming from.......I spent my whole like in PAK....and now i am in Australia.......All my GOOD friends here are australian and non muslims.......Do they compare to mates back home?.....Bloody hell NO..!!

I would give myself a 4 because I can't tollerate any one (no matter who it is) disrespecting my religion. Living in Dubai there are soooooo many hindus here and I learn to respect them as they learn to respect my religion.

Desis are pathetic, they are selfish. They act like they are something cool whaich they are not. They are not even muslims yet they call themselves muslim and try to worsten the image of a pure muslim. They try to make islam according to their customs, the thing I hate most.

Non muslims, atleast I know that they don't believe in islam and God. So as long as they don't attack my religion, I feel more confortable with them rather desis.

I would have to say 5...I don't have many desi friends, come to think of it, I don't have any in real life! I don't have anything against desis but ever since I've been a little girl, I never seemed to play with the Pakistani girls, but I do get along well with all kinds of people!

I have said what I feel and If I cannot speak what I want to then i don't think anyone will like to come here.

If you call a drinker, lier, killer a muslim then you are wrong mr. You should know how bad our image is in the outer world. It is not because we are muslim it is because we say that we are muslims and act like non muslims. When people start justifying drinking, marrying a non-muslim and sex then I believe they start changing islam, and don't tell me that no one does that, I've seen many people with my own eyes trying to justify thier sins.

Tell me, how many of your pakistani friends have never ever even tasted alcohol?
Are still virgin?? have never tell a lie?? have never broken a promise?? have never ever taken any drug?

Half islamabad takes drugs, the so clled "islam -abad" ! half of them drink, and they believe that he who doesn't have sex with girls, and doesn't fight is mommy daddy! and this is not only the case in islam-abad it is the story of karachi, lahore and nearly every big city, villages?? well they make their own desi alcohol!!

what a pitty man that you still call this "Islamic" republic of pakistan. and btw I'm not going to start a personal argument and whatever I wanted to say I have so please reply but don't expect me to reply again! (so that in future u cant say I ran anway)
