Abay.. this political section sucks. It doesn't take much to let things get out of hand and for that reason I usually stayed away from it for the past 2 1/2 yrs. I jsut spent a whole week there and man I have a headache...

My hats off to folks who dwell in there to 'defend" their causes/points/confusions/interpretations/religion. More power to them...

Somebody get me Tylenol. Prescription Strength!!

Now the politics section is not all insults there are some very healthy discussions.
Very few yes but there are some.
When the Pak-India bashing has stopped.
One example is the traders and tax posts.

It is filled with highly unoriginal people who mostly live on cut-n-paste or have some wierd propaganda which is not difficult to see through or plain abusive personalities. i would prefer reading even blonde jokes on a given day.

I don't post there myself as much as I used to because it has got repetitive. It's still worth checking out though, because you do get some really good topics once in a while.

I just found out about this Armenian business, otherwise I wouldn't have had a clue.

The funny thing about this section is that people agree in principle about the views but don't agree about the varations of
avenues which lead to the same conclusion... Someone once posted there that the World Affair should be changed to India affair since majority of the threads deal in one way or another about India. Now, that was amusing! Funny that its also true...

As for suggestion for the forum, I think a bit more sensitivity training is rquired. Reading and not extrapolating views that are not very clear should also be considered.

p.s. Sabah, Allah mian sirf mujh sey he nahi, hum saab sey poochey ga!

I think this is it. There are a few people that keep that place a mess. People provoke others, and others fall into the trap and get provoked...and lash out.

These are topics near and dear to people but surely people can set boundaries for exceptable behavior

Sabah you are doing the best with the inherent issues present in those forums. Dealing with agendas of some etc.

Luckily we have people who can check, question and expose such stuff.

I am not so sure fraudz. Is people provoking others a true problem here or people becoming easily provoked the real problem? I think its the latter. One's believes and faith shouldn't be so weak that a slight (now, "slight" is also debatable) provocation leads to blood bath that usually ensues.

ghalib i think both are problems, people being hot headed and emotional..and thus getting easily provoked..

as well as people saying stuff on purpose to get a certain reaction from certain people due to their predictability...and when a war starts, the instigators get this holier than thou and innocent thing going....ohhhh look what he said, oh ban him, do this do that...

I think both are problems. am glad that I am not incharge of those sections cuz I am a no nonsense type of guy..many phannay khans woulda been booted.
