    Your favourite beauty tips...

This one is mainly for the girls. What are your favourite beauty tips? Some things which you just can't go without? I'm sure we can learn something new by sharing tips.

One thing that my mum can't go without is drinking a few glasses of hot water a day, with lemon juice or grapefruit juice. Apparantly, it's excellent for your skin and also burns the extra fat. I have yet to try this one!

tell ure mom to stop doin it before its too late.....my grnadmom did it for god knows how long...not only did she NOT get thin, but she also lost the much needed fat in her knees and other joints, that the joints need for lubrication...the acid from grapefruit and lemon took it away with all the other fat.....just drink warm water first thing in the mornin, and for the fat.....tone it down with some excerising....but the grapefriut and lemon thing is realllll bad! trust me

Thanks for that piece of advice kwhateen! But she also drinks a lot of herbal teas, I don't think there's anything wrong with that though.

Kashish, I definitely agree with the working out and drinking water, do you ever steam or sauna afterwards?

hk, they say you should use cold water on your face and hair coz hot water is really bad for both, causing split ends and premature ageing.

Oh, and another tip: Use Sunscreen!!

kashish, split ends is still such a big problem, but I think I've learnt 2 lessons:

                1) Stop killing my hair by blow-drying it so often.
                2) Trim regularly and use a good conditioner.

Another thread dedicated basically for the gals here on Gupshup (the other one is Daysee Behna started regarding Jem..."we are the Misfits, the misfits, no one is better"...)

Okay, er, back to the thread topic,
                  excellent tips girls!!

Btw, the one regarding split ends, uff, it's true. YOu gotta cut down with the blow dryer usage, hair products (especially gel & hair spray). They are very very unhealthy for the hair.

                  Hm...my fav beauty tip...
I think, mine would have something to do with eyeliners & applying 'em. (go figure huh)
Cuz you know, i absolutely love thick-penned eyeliners & stuff.

Oh, okay, here's one relating to the eyes at least.

                  - When you put liquid foundation on your face, don't put the foundation on your eyelids. Don't put the foundation on your eyelids especially if you're going to put eye shadow on else the foundation will dry up & crack & your eye shadow will fade.

& my other frequently used tip regarding lips:

                  - Apply a dab of liquid foundation on your lips (just a little bit!) & then apply your chap stick or lip moisturizer or watever. Then put the lip liner, or lipstick, or both on. The colour will last longer that way. Trust me.

Uff, all of a sudden, i'm reminded of Nageena Rani. Guys, where is she? http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/teary2.gif
She's long gone from gupshup i think. http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/crying.gif

I am sorry gals that my jin misbehaved last time.
I do have a tip for you. DON'T use hair Dryer, it really weakens hair and secondly, DON'T wash hair everyday, skip a day or two.

                    Bye

                      Aladeen, for some reason,
your smiley face icon on the left there doesn't remind me of Aladin or anything, but rather, Aladin's genie. YOu know, the funky groovy blue guy.

Kohal, thanks for the eyeshadow tip! I never knew that one. Okay, if u cant use the liquid foundation on ure eyelids, can u use the semi-liquid ones, in the compact form?
Do you ever wear eye-liner on the bottom? coz i only use the liquid ones...

Aladeen, thank your genie for his generous input!! http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/hula.gif
