    Back Pain


    Salam/Hello to all friends here,

    I have this question to all of you. I am 21 and get back pain sometimes. Do you have this back pain problem? Please tell me how you can reduce it. You can also introduce some products. Please be serious cause my intention here is to get some information.

    I commonly have upper back pain near the neck; never told anyone because I didn't think it should happen at my age

    anyways, to cure it I stopped exercising but that didn't help at all but luckily one day while visiting a friend out of town, I slept on the floor, lo-and-behold next day no pain, so for me it was basically that I kept arching my neck on the bed but didnt on the floor...
    also, you might want to lie on your stomach

      well it is comon in our groups..Don't know why...mine started when I got kicked in the back when playing soccer. I reduced the pain by simply applying some exercises for the back.

      since I have stopped exercises it started again. Try some exercises for the back.

          well try 2 sleep on ur back when its painful....n u'll feel alota pain but b patient...n u'll feel much better...

          pl try this daily...it might help u alot

            Back pain or neck pain in young group without any history of some type of injury is usally due to bad posture during sleep. So correcting that usually helps. Also, some people have weak paraspinal muscles and doing some light muscle strengthening exercies help relieve the pain. Or atleast that's what I hear.

                I think best advice would be to see a chiropractor. He should be able give a firm diagnostic.

                Sometimes I get it after doing strenous workout , especially hiking. I do lots of sit-ups and push-ups the next day in order to alleviate any symptoms. It really helps

                  I agree at young age it is posture rather than work related as in adults working inware house lifting bending twisting.
                  Treat ment for acute pain is complete bed rest & in chronic as yours Hard firm bed or sleep on floor,heat or sometimes ice pack, locally.Lie down on your back Do "pelvic Tilt" that is tilt the pelvis to flatten your vback couple times daily.Do abdominal muscle exercise i.e flexion exercises forward.sometinme temporarily corset or brace ONLY FOR SHORT PERIOD CAN TIDE OVER EXACERBATION.

                  tYLENOL /ADVIL SOME TIME BUT NOT TOO OFTEN.

                  Besides chiropractor ,if you see M.D. make sure he /she is board certified physical medicine rehabilitation I.e pHYSIATRIST

                    Sleep on the floor facing up.. try to work ur muscles and dont let them get use to beign relaxed all teh time.. workout if not more than atleast 3 dayz a week.. start with stretching.. move to cardio .. then light weight training.. hope u feel good soon inshaAllah..

                      I had back pain for about a year after I returned from Pakistan. For a while I thought it was a coincidence but my doctor (happens to be desi ) told me that it is possible that it occured while I was in Pakistan. He gave me some medicine which took the pain away after a while. But he was serious about the pain originating from my visit to Pakistan. Try to have some exams done through your doc.

                          1) see a doctor:

                          they can tell ya whats going on

                          2) evaluate your posture

                          Maybe you are slouching too much?

                          3) evaluate your bed

                          It has to provide the right support

                          4) evaluate your work chair.

                          support is the key.

                          5) evaluate your shoes.

                          If you are hitting the floor wrong when walking it causes foot and back pain.

                          6) do some excercises to strengthen back and abdominal muscles.

                          less pressure it is on your spine and more the muscles can support the better off you are.

                            In '97...I too did my back in, mainly because of the job, I was in, even though I followed the correct code for lifting things , I still managed to hurt my back, it only takes a split secound, I remember it was winter and the box I lifted was not even heavy.
                            some of the advice given above by other guppos is good, however it may not apply to the particular type of back problem, it may not be a strain, it can be an infection too.t I remember I had many a sleepless night, my doctor told me not to worry. the advice he gave me was sleeping on your back, try the floor, it may be uncomfortable at first, eventually you will get used to it, posture is important, tuck in your stomach, lift your head up, and tuck your chin in, stretching exercises are also good.
                            The best advice is prevention, and go to your G.P.
