The trouble with learning from experience is that the test comes first and the lesson afterwards.

its accurate to some level, i consider the lesson as feedback...your life and knowledge prompted you to tackle a certain challenge a certain way..and results are more of a feedback on your approach than a lesson in handling that particular sort of challenge.
