From the time I started to watch PTV dramas, and believe me, I have watched amany, the one I watched today is really worth mentioning to you people.
Well, its called "Dhoop Mein Sawan". All I can say is that I am astonished on what the television has done in terms of boldness, and boldness in a good sense. Furthermore, it is not a traditional production in more than one way :
One, not the usual five Video cassetes thingy
Second, I couldn't believe the quality of editing etc.
Well to say a few words, it explores the role of the Pakistani family, the situation of the young and it is really something which makes you think. You'd look at it from the perspective of a mere viewer, and then place yourself in a situation like that shown.
For the first time, at least for me, I have seen an effort towards helping the general public understand the dynamics of the heart and dilemmas of the mind. Love and mutual vulnerability being a major theme.
I highly recommend it to anyone who has access to the videos and before I start sounding like a PTV promoter, I'd leave you people, but say : BRAVO! PTV.
[again, "Dhoop mein Sawan".]
B.T.W. if anyone has seen it already, what do you have to say. I don't want to spoil the plot but just some thoughts.
