    Paranoid people!?

I can't believe people can be this paranoid. I was talking on MSN with my friend's cousin who was using my friend's account and basically fooling around. But as soon as I mentioned that I was a member of Al-Qaida and suicide bombing, the cousin freaked and called my friend who in turn started calling me an idiot for having said that stuff.Even though I said it all as a joke since the cousin was trying to be a smartass. In the end he said he never wanted to speak to me again and blocked me.And I thought that was pretty harsh.

Is he right? Is some anti-terrorism agency gonna start monitoring my MSN conversations if I mention the word "Al-Qaida",even as a harmless joke or otherwise?

something like that has infact happened. four people were sitting in a restaurant, joking about the al qaida. they left the restaurant and got arrested on the freeway after someone tipped the agencies off.

Carnivore ensures that what you say innocently or jokingly can and does get you in trouble.

If George Orwell's book "1984" creeped you out, you'll want to read the facts about the FBI's Operation Carnivore. It gave agents the permission and technology to access to the online and e-mail activities of suspected criminals.

        Read and be informed.

A lovely system called Echleon based mainly in the UK since cold war intercepts any electrical communication device. USA a big contributor of the system which officially doesnt exist. However you drive a few miles north in Yorkshire where I live you will see some nice big golf balls all very secrative and high security.

OH DEAR !! you are in the sh*t. Please stop coming here on this forum as you may implicate us in your terrorist activity.

On a serious note, most of the people being arrsted with alqaeda links are people who have been boasting and fooling around! So as long as it is only on MSN, you just be safe but if you have been talking to anyone about it, you are probably being monitored!!

I've driven past them many a times. They definately look like oversized golf balls. From what i've heard thats an american base, built by the americans.
