somewhat true probably applicable to Mr. Gibran himself. But a nice thought anyways.
My personal view is that all philosophers chose their own path their own philosophy because the previous philosopher's views did not apply to them or the circumstances were very different.
We can choose the best from all philosophers and use that as a starting point to make our own philosophies :>

Well, in a sense the saying is true but I prefer living in a big city than living in a small commmunity. For me its like I look out my window and see all the life around me and it in a sense sustains me. But I can see where Mr. Jibran is coming from so....
