Ever since i was born!! I've been told to behave like a "lady". Bah! I wonder what they actually mean by the term "lady". Any answers?

Elegant, gracious, polite, charming, a bit aloof but warm, a good hostess, honest, non-gossipy, virtuous and the list goes on….
It means being someone who is above riff-raff and who just by their demeanor commands respect.
Hum say…actually mom’s Tok often..but the best way to be a lady is to follow the example of someone who is one.
and I'd a agee with Shezi..I doubt the boys really want a girl that does muck around.

I think what our parents are trying to teach us is just to show good manners. I was taught to respect my elders(which I think everyone should), to be polite, to treat others the way I wanted to be treated, and to show kindness to those less fortunate. This has nothing to do with a gender. Nor should it. Good manners and the way you carry yourself tell the world alot about who you are. Remember you never get a second chance to make a first impression.
