    I know the lame reason for closing my thread called "Gupshup Declassified"

    I just want to know was such a harsh step as closing the thread necessary or the not-so-clever mod could handle the situation in a more appropriate and viable manner.

    I want someone who is unbiased/non-judgemental/mature (that means excluding Saba and Xtreme) to answer my question.
    Plus I would propose to the admin that the mod should be punished by de-moding him for a week , I think that would be enough.

    I must say that thread was really funny and should have been allowed to continue. There were only some small banters which is ok.
    Its 5-0-1 in worldcup.
    Its good to be world champions again.
    And we though Aussies were invincible.

        Exactly where the admins wish it to go. To eliminate religion well not all religion only Islam out of gupshup. Its not ok to insult hinduism or judaism.

            Pakore, your thread was closed because of the name calling and bickering that was going on in there ... it would have just gotten worse if it hadn't been locked.

              Lunatic, every time we confront a non-Muslim with one insult on Islam, he/she can quote ten. Look around and see what kinda ppl 'encourage' these ppl to post against Islam - If we ban those ten members, you guys point fingers at us for banning Muslims for defending Islam. How else do you want us to shut up ppl then? If you're referring to Roman's post tau that'll either be the first or last of that kind.                 Sabah, I believe the rationale for every thread's closing is that you didnt want it on your forum. Its disingenuous of you to assume that this specious answer will satisfy anyone.

                perhaps you shouldnt have a feedback section agar apni manmaani hi karni hay?

                I give your intelligence more credit than to not know what Salman/CM and others refer to. The most recent instance of flippant mockery of Islam is ofcourse Roman's thread in General. His manner was consistently offensive for most posters, who spent 5 pages bickering with him.

                If bickering was what you wished to avoid in pakora's thread, why didnt you enforce your peacekeeping missions in Romanland?

                Anyway, Im sick of running here, complaining to the mods some of whom obviously place their personal preferences and friendships over a consistent application of their principles.

                  thanks for reminding us of what General is about but that doesn't change the reason for the thread being locked. I suggest you also read up on Feedback guidelines, correct procedure is to contact the Forum mod.

                          no, my point isnt about what my principles are, its about what you know them to be. you have scant idea as to what they are or how I'd apply them, so perhaps you should refrain from bringing them in.

                          ofcourse we discuss principles in the very restricted context of modertorship. im sure you're a very good person otherwise.

                            Ravage, Pakora assumed I'm biased, that's why I gave him a biased reply, that he deserved.

                            If you went through Roman's thread you'd know why it went back from review. Rest I've already written in this and Roman's thread. Roman is just as much my friend as you are.
