    bade miya deewane

hahahha this song cracks me up ... it's from an old (1967) movie, Shagird, with Saira Banu.

It's a really really stupid song... but, that's what makes it funny i suppose.

hahah Sadzzz, yeah it is That song is really cute too.

The lyrics of this one go something like this, lemme try to see if i can copy it as i hear the song - i have made some typos below, sorry in advance for that:

bade mian deewane / aisay na bano
haseena kia chaahay / ham sai sunno

sab sai pehlay sunno mian / kar kay vardis bano jawaan

chahra maalish kia karo / thori maalish kia karo
ishtyle sai uTThay qadam / seena zaida tau paiT kam

ai qibla ujlay baalon ko rang daalo / ban jao gulbaan

seekho kartab nayay nayay / fashion kai dhab nayay nayay
      dheela dhaala libaas keoun

It's a really stupid song as you can tell, but the movie is absolutely hilarious. i am EXTREMELY picky about my movies, but this one is great for a few laughs.

ok you two have no idea how happy I am to see the two of you get along so well in audio gallery

Do we sense a potential symbiotic relationship building up where one posts a song and the other admires her taste in music and vice versa. And then repeats in a loop

hmm i am not certain if it's the one with Ashok Kumar i checked on a website and it's got Joy Mukerji, Saira Banu, I. S. Johar, Nasir Hussain Madan Puri, and Asit Sen. Do any of those names ring a bell? Saira plays this girl from a village who the main actor (a young fella) falls in love with, but so does this elderly guy (the 'bade mian'). The younger one tries to help the older guy to be more 'cool' and 'modern' (he doesn't know that the bade mian likes the same girl that he likes).

i am such an oldie... i like the old 1960s/1950s, even 1940s, movies way more than the current new ones. i know that makes me sound like a bhuddi But their songs were more tasteful, lyrics were more meaningful, story lines were more unique, and the acting was ten times better. At least that's how i see it - it's VERY subjective so i could be wrong
