    Poor sportsmanship by Ganguly

After losing the opening match of the Coca Cola cup tournament against Sri Lanka, the Indian Captain Ganguly balmed it entirely on the wet ball due to night dew. This is not a new problem in Sharjah and has been a problem in previous tournaments as well. India and Ganguly should have known it. Instead of looking for lame excuses he should have looked at the performance of his own team, which was pathetic to say the least. Three run outs, a low score when batting first and then bad bowling even early on when Kumble went for over 12 runs in his first over. As a captain he should learn to accept defeat with grace and look for genuine reasons for their defeat rather than come up with silly excuses.

Hahaha yeah i know. What a fool.
You can't always have it perfect in cricket, sometimes the pitch may not be right, home/away game, loss of toss, ball problems, or even player problems.

After Sri Lanka won the game with the last 4, the Indians were shaking hands with the two batsmen, except Ganguly who they showed on tv. He was shaking his head with his hands on his waste, just staring at the pitch from a distance.

Then probably started babling something to the umpire on the way back, thus the Sri Lankan player went up to him and stuck his hand out for "good game", thus he shook the hand in a rude manner and ignored him without looking at him and went back to talking to the umpire.

Oh well.. you win, you lose. That's life.

and srt played an innings which had just 3 4's in century and immediately got out after century. azharuddin as captain could get much more cooperation from tendulkar. what a junk play.

Pakistan is currently hosting the English team, so they had to give Sharjah a miss, and also it gives india a chance of winning a match if not a tournament in Sharjah. Poor souls are desperate.

Actually, it's good that Pakistan isent in Sharjah this time. For the last few years, Pakistan has been participating in less tournaments in Sharjah compared to India and Sri Lanka. I think this is good because as fun as Sharjah is...Pakistan should start playing more ODI in Pakistan because there is always a lot of interest and it's good for the public to see their team in action more often. I mean, we play more abroad than we do in our own country and thats not the way it should be.
