    Moin's statement

Moin Khan has said we will miss Wasim but one day cricket is a game of youngsters. Do you agree that its better to have youngsters in the team than old guys like Wasim in future.

Then he should give captaincy to Imran Nazir, and fly back home.

yeah, if the youngsters don't practice cricket of pak will hv no future. as far as seniors r concerned : yes they r important but they hv had enough practice and r gonna retire in a few yrs time
      (moin is yunger than wasim)

But if the old guys are better than the young ones than. I really do not see any young bowler ready to take on from where Wasim and Waqar will leave. Abdur Razzaq is the only good bowler for one dayers but how he will do when have to open the balling remains to be seen. Azhar is good but only occasionally. M. Akram is almost always expensive. Shoaib is not fit.

They need to get use to playing without Wasim because he will not be on the Pakistani side forever, he needs to retire and so does Waqar. So they need to get new fast bowlers in their balling lineup.

There is no doubt they need to learn playing without Wasim. But they can learn this with him in the team as well. Every one ask for his opinion. I have heard Shoaib during a Coco-Cola trophy match saying "wasim bhai ko idhar bhaig dey. And Moin during the same tournament said to Wasim while Razaq was bowling "iss sey batian kertay rehna" They want to learn they can do it even when he is in. you can not remove a player just because others are not learning to play without him.

Well Miandad was a good player, but he had to retire, nobody can go on playing for the rest of their lives. But yes even after retiring Wasim can be a great help to the youngsters just the way miandad is. I am not saying that throw out wasim but one day he'll hv to leave anyways.

Wasim is a fantastic cricketer. But it would be better for Pakistan in the long run - not to play Wasim in ODI. That would prolong his career so he can go after the World Record in Test matches. Plus, it would give Azhar Mahmood an opportunity to play as a proper allrounder at number 6..instead of having to bat as low as Number 9. Same goes for Waqar ...he should also be played in Test Matches
only...Mohd Akram,Shabbir Ahmed,Shoaib Akhter along with Mahmood and Razzaq are quite capable of replacing the two W's. Akram and Shabbir in particular look menacing. They are both extremely quick..and unlike Shoaib Akhter..they are extremely fit as well.

Wasim is still the best. He can go on for a couple of years if he plays in tests only.

But why drop Waqar? He's not even 30!
Plus, he is at his best as a mature bowler.
Wasim-Waqar-Shoib-Razzaq is the best combo in tests.
In ODI's, Waqar-Shoib-Azhar-Razzaq can be there for at least 3-4 years after this. The injured bowler can be replaced with M. Akram or Shabbir.

Wasim is still the deadliest bowler in Pak side. When the youngsters can bowl better than him it will be time for him to step aside. At the moment they still aren't in his class. In fact not many players anywhere are.
