Bacher's alleges match fixing by Pakistani team

    Bacher's allegations on match fixing

The managing director of the United Cricket Board of South Africa Ali Bacher Thursday told Australian newspapers that two of the 1999 world cup matches, one in which minnows Bangladesh upset formidable Pakistan, were fixed.

Bacher also expressed suspicions about Pakistani umpire Javed Akhtar over his handling of the Leeds Test during South Africa's 1998 tour of England.

Pakistan lost the world cup 1999 match against Bangladesh by 62 runs at Northampton after winning their first four matches.

The Pakistani team and its players have been alleged of match fixing and betting since 1994 and a judicial commission inquiry report has been pending with higher authorities for action since November last year.

You can't tell anything with certainty unless you blow the whole racket, if there's any.

If Bacher has proof he should present it to the appropriate authorities otherwise he should shut his mouth up. After all it was Bacher who was telling the world that Hansie was above suspicion and born again Christian and a thorough gentleman. So much for his comment and judgement.
