    India warned

Nairobi - India have received an unofficial warning for vigorous appealing that could have bordered on "intimidation of the umpire" in an LG Safari Cup match against Kenya.

Match referee Mike Denness said he had been particularly concerned over the dismissal of Kenya captain Maurice Odumbe on Wednesday.

Pakistani umpire Athar Zaidi belatedly raised his finger, appearing to respond to intense pressure from Indian fielders for a catch behind.

Odumbe said he felt his dismissal changed the course of the match which Kenya lost by 58 runs.

"It was a warning in inverted commas," Denness said on Thursday. "We had a discussion with the captain, the coach and the manager about enthusiastic appealing, that it could be approaching intimidation of the umpire."

Denness said he also warned the Indians over the behaviour of bowler Dabasish Mohanty, reported by the umpires for sledging when he dismissed Kenyan opener Ravindu Shah.

I dont know why Paki umpires come in pressure of these kinda things.... look at the Ausie, English and other very experienced umpires in the world cricket.
it only happens with Asian umpires that they have lack of confidence and come easily under pressure of players

Remember the situation in the WC99 Javed Akhter's decision against England....English were so much mad about that....

Players shouldn't behave like this though,,,(Warne)
Indians are such a suckers they are doing it against Kenya....

Junooni Bhai it is not that Asian umpires come under pressure, it is just that there errors are highlighted much more than of other umpires. Take the case of the english press having a go at Javed for his decision against England. the same press did not say a word when the English umpire made that appalling decision against Inzi in the final.
