    Pakistan are playing without Sohail Abbas who has reversed his retirement but hasnt trained enough to be picked. Onus is on youngsters like Imran Warsi to make their presence felt as PC specialist.

    Saqlain will lead an experimental team consisting of 11 out off 18 players from Junior winning team.

      that's good news for the development of youngsters in pakistan hockey with a legend making a comeback. i would've still picked the legendary sohail abbas though. he is the 'brian lara' of hockey and the man has 2 much quality which will be missed.

            Good omen for Pakistan as Sohail Abbas's replacement Imran Warsi looked decent with his flicks. He scored once, hit the post twice. Hope tos ee him more in future.

              Could somebody put up the tournament schedule please including timings.
              Only 2-1 vs NZL, not too good a start.

                  pakistan's performance against the kiwi's was less than convincing. we were 2-1 up and gave awaya need;ess penalty corner in injury time and i was holding my breath but we managed to hang on for the victory.

                  pak play south korea tomorrow {saturday} who r the asian champs' i think and we must improve our all around display warna good teams like korea and australia will walk over us.

                      Pakistan are leading Korea 3- 1 at half time. Playing superbly, no doubt about that.

                          Pakistan won a nail-biting match against Koreans 3 - 2. Pakistan were the better team througout but the number of penalty corners conceded shuold be a concern.

                          Did anyone see the third goal scored by Akhtar Ali? One of the best I have seen in recent times!!!!

                              that goal by akhtar was a little fortunate i would say sab. simply cos after rounding the goalie, his shot went through the legs of the korean [] on the goal line. maybe on any other given day, the ball mite not have made it's destination.

                              khair who cares, we won and that's all it matters. i felt we played a well controlled match, the koreans r fast movers and our lads slowed the pace down well by keeping the ball. especially rehan butt was amazing on the rite flank.

                              i was wondering why aren't their any left handed hockey players??? coz according to the commentators today, pak r weak on the left flank. + i've been wondering for a while now, no team as far as i know, has a left handed player. ideal i would say on the left flank. no need to cut in as the right handers do, just hit the ball in the danger zone from the perfect angle.

                              pak play south africa tomorrow @ 11 am {gmt}
