Suggestion and Discussions: Fantasy ICC Champions Trophy

Guys,
Thanks you all for good words about Fantasy Holland. Though Rain ( and early departure of India ) did had its impact on our enthusiasm.
Anyway...in couple of weeks ICC Champions Trophy is starting and there is another chance to participate in Fantasy leage.
So here is your chance to give some suggestions.. Few suggestions that I got in PMs are like..

1. No restriction at all on who you pick. Just pick any Eleven guy from any team.

2. Make a team of eleven by picking one player from each team. There are 12 teams in ICC trophy ,so you can ignore one team.

3. Same as 1 but you must have certain minimum number of bowlers,batsmen & allrounders.

4. Allow 2 Trupm player instead of one.



So...please show your creativity and give soem ideas or your comment on above suggestions.

One player from each team will result in huge difference between Saby and Bitter (j/k Bitter, don't get any bitter now, and yo Saby don't get too high.......... j/k).

I think #3 is good!

hayden, punter, martyn, mcgrath, gillespie, lee

and theyre sure to be rite up der...rite??


how bout 3 allrounders(keeper included)...and 4 bat...4 bowlers??? or max 4 allrounders, and max of 6 batsmen, and max 6 bowlers...i meen in a combination thats adds up to elevn players???

Two trumps and number 3 are good ideas but I do not agree with one player from each team. I suggest that we should impost a restriction of at least 4-5 nations represnted in one fantasy team.

plus every team should be allowed to have 2 reserve guys.
e.g
1 - 11 ( active team)
reserve num 1
reserve num 2
In case of some injury to playing eleven reserve one would be used
in case of 2nd reserve 2nd wud be used
if you have more then 2 injured players i say you better work on your scouting skills
in perfect scenario we will go with playing eleven and discrad the reserves.
it is extra work but would make things interesting.

i agree with funguy, but i think 1 reserve would be a good idea.

OK to Reserve but he comes into action ONLY if one of the other player is INJURED and not bc he is NOT selected.

I remember Ehsan bhai brought this issue before. Only reason I couldnot do it because it could take lot of time on my part. But now I am willing to do it. These will be conditions

1. Replacement will be only allowed if a player is injured.

2. Replacement player has to be of same type. i.e a bowler for a bowler or a batsman for a batsman. If we dont do then they might voilate the basic rule of having a certain number of a particular type of player and it wil be unjust to other guys. This means everyone will have to nominate 4 replacesment player each of type bowler,batsman,allrounder and wicket keeper.

3. Replacement will not be automatic.You will have to PM me to accomodate this request.

lets do it the good old classic way....

1- one player from each team, lets select 12 players this time just to add to the work of f&b
2- select 2 trump players
3- 5 batsmen, 2 allrounder, 1 keeper, 4 bowlers (all of different teams ofcourse)
4- consider the following point system
runs: 1 point per run (u can add some bonus points for a 50 or 100)
wickets: 20 per wicket (u can add bonus points for hattricks, 5 wicket haul etc)
catch/stump: 5 points each
run-out: i dont know if it deserves any points since some dismissals may involve more than one fielder (but if we can award 20 to the bowler and 5 to the fielder for a catch-out then why not 5 points each to those involved in run-outs)
5- injuries or other reasons that keep any player out of the game(s) should not be replaced since its all the part of the game

Make a limit of maximum 2 players from one team.

FG's format for batsmen, bowlers etc is fine, with minor modification i.e.

5 batsmen (or 6 batsmen)
3 bowlers
2 all-rounders (or 1 all-rounder)
1 wk

2 players to be trump to make it more interesting.

1 reserve player to be nominated but will only count if a regular player is injured.

Lets roll!
