Austria looses its F1 grand prix

There has been some uncertainity for the past few months, now Bernie Ecclestone has made it final:

From 2004 there will be no Grand Prix of Austria anymore. He has not yet decided, where the new venue would be, but Austria has definitely lost its race.

Rumours say that India might be taking the spot.

Yes the fate of Austria had been decided a long time back, but there has been some talk that the British Grand Prix at Silverstone may be discontinued. However I'll have to say last week's race was packed with excitement, and the protestor running on the circuit made it even more nail bitting. Anyhow could you post any links that support this Indian F1 rumor. From what I heard, they are planning to move to Bahrain from 2004.

won't cows sitting down on the track make it kinda hard to race?

Yeah, there are rumors, but F1 still needs to make China the official venue before any place else. I remember seeing one of the footings in 2000, where Villeneuve was testing the track in China, and the event is yet to be granted. Also, Argentina Grand Prix maybe starting as well. So, I don't forsee India getting a grand-prix for at least another five to ten years..
