    meray saath meri khamoshi thee
    ik ahat sun ke maiN choNka
    shayad wo teri sargoshi thee
    sargoshi maiN teray, ik qisa
    kuch roshni aur charaghoN ka
    kuch lamhoN maiN simti sadyoN ka
    kuch aanay walay lamhoN maiN
    dukh dard ka, ankh maiN aNsoo ka

    kal raah maiN meray kantay haiN,
    maiN aaj hi ji looN, ji bhar kar?

    maiN samajh gaya har ik qisa
    har baat teri maiN jaan gaya
    par tum na mujh ko jaan sake
    meri aNkh maiN wehshat dekh to li
    par usko na pehchan sake
    har aik charagh ki lo jaisay
    ankhoN ko meri ab jhulsayaiN
    meri aankh andheroN ki aadi
    ab kirnaiN inko chundhyayaiN
    meri raaH maiN kal jo kantay haiN
    unki hi mujh ko aas rahay
    har aik chubhan maiN lazzat hai
    har aik ki dil ko pyaas rahay
    pholoN ke lagaye zakhmoN ko
    kantoN se maiN ab see looNga
    tumko bhi bhoolna ab jo paRa
    ye zehar ka pyala pee loNga.
