Spelling's most notable television productions included Charlie's Angels, Dynasty, Starsky and Hutch, Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, 7th Heaven, and Charmed.

23rd June, 2009 : Ed McMahon, an iconic American television personality, died at the age of eighty-six after suffering from multiple health problems. The television star was best known for working as Johnny Carson's co-host and sidekick on the Tonight Show for thirty years. McMahon got his big break in 1958 when he was the announcer on the show Who Do You Trust? alongside host Johnny Carson

23rd June, 2012 : Former assistant football coach at Penn State Jerry Sandusky was found guilty of forty-five out of forty-eight counts of child sex abuse after his trial concluded. Sandusky was immediately taken into custody and would likely face a life sentance.

25th June 1957 : Hurricane Audrey hits Gulf Coast which kills 390 people. Water on the coast reached as high as 15 feet above the normal high-tide mark. Boats were washed ashore by the tremendous waves. The towns of Cameron, Creole and Grand Chenier were devastated by the hurricane. Only one building survived in Creole and only two were left standing in Camero

25th June 2005 : Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, wins a landslide victory in Iran's presidential poll. Mr Ahmadinejad is a conservative hard liner and believes that Israel does not have rights in the Middle East. Because of this the world will be watching for further signs of tension in the area.

25th June, 2009 : American actress Farrah Fawcett died at the age of sixty-two of cancer with her long time partner Ryan O'Neal by her side. Fawcett had been famous for her role in Charlie's Angels as well as a long and varied television, movie, and stage career. Her death came only weeks after a documentary about her struggle with cancer aired on television.

25th June, 2011 : New York became the sixth state in the United States to legalize same-sex marriage. The state senate approved it with a 33-29 vote in favor of a bill that had already been passed in the state's lower house and Governor Cuomo immediately signed the bill into law. Same-sex weddings were expected to start within thirty days of the approval.
