    I have this book...

Called 'Ground beneath her feet' by Salman Rushdi.
I was wondering if anyone of u read it?
I bought it a while back and will start reading it as soon as I have some time. Just wanted to know your opinions; did you like it?Is it worth the long read? etc (only by those who read it ofcourse)

    Thanx.

I am an avid reader, but I must admit, I couldn't even get through the first chapter of this book.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning how to dance in the rain.

        MehnazQ,
Yes that's exactly what I thought after reading the first few pages...I put it away and now not sure if I should start again.

        Thanx for the input

                        Guys guys

                        Whats'the big deal?
Me reading a book by Salman Rushdi doesnt mean I like the guy or I agree with what he has to say or whatever!
It's just that I am curious to find out why his novels are so popular.
I like to find out stuff myself and don't blindly follow others.
SO why do ppl read?... to educate themselves ...right?!

And no I haven't read The satanic verses.... I might though...maybe....?!
Again for the same reasons I mentioned above.

                        Peace

i remember trying to read one of his veryy famous novels which i believe was banned in most countries. i think it was 'the stannic verses'

well..couldn't even get through the first couple of pages..

b/w sidney sheldon.... in particular, i remember that i enjoyed reading his novel 'tell me ur dreams'
I don't know where I am going. I don't know what for but I am making progress.

You may not agree with what he writes/says..but yet you are still giving him money..the royalties etc by purchasing his book(s)
