    why is mithai distributed among Pakistanis for occassions such as engagement, wedding, birth, etc.? is there is significance?...i mean, why MITHAI???

    Moona, mithai (or anything sweet) is a symbol considered associated with happiness...so when people have weddings, births etc..its an occasion of happiness to celebrate..that's what i always heard from elders

        sweets is not distributed among Pakistanis only, it is distributed among all sorts of different people in occassions, such as weddings, births and so on. Its not just a pakistani thing!

          haha. No, everything good and bad in the world is exclusive to Pakistanis. We also want to know why do Pakistanis cough when they have pneumonia and why do they have running noses when they have flu? Also why are they ready to take bitter pills to get rid of such ailments?
